BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend Code Section 40-6-16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating
to the procedure for passing stationary authorized emergency vehicles,
stationary towing or recovery vehicles, or stationary highway maintenance
vehicles, so as to change certain provisions relating to penalties; to provide
for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Code
Section 40-6-16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the
procedure for passing stationary authorized emergency vehicles, stationary
towing or recovery vehicles, or stationary highway maintenance vehicles, is
amended by striking subsection (c) and inserting in lieu thereof the
following:
"(c)
Violation of subsection (a) or (b) of this Code section shall be punished by a
fine of not
more than
$500.00."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
