DAILY RADIO SCRIPT
Monday, January 09, 2006 Legislative Day #1

The House wasted no time getting down to business quickly and it looks already like this is going to be a busy legislative session.

Among the proposed legislation offered by House leaders are plans to push for natural gas tax relief, stricter penalties for sex crimes and a plan to install the equipment needed to make free voter photo ID cards in all Georgia’s county voter registrar offices.

Preparations were also made for a mid-day joint session of the House and Senate for a Wednesday state of the state address in which the Governor outlines his plans and assesses the over all condition of the state.
