State Representative Roger Williams Appointed Chairman of the Regulated Industries Committee


Atlanta - House Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) announced the appointment of State Representative Roger Williams
(R-Dalton) as Chairman of the Regulated Industries Committee.  The committee is responsible for overseeing legislation pertaining to commerce regulation of existing businesses across the state.

"I am honored that the Speaker would consider me for service on the Regulated Industries Committee.  I look forward to working with my fellow House members on the important issues facing Georgia’s industries," said Representative Williams.
 
Part of his duties as committee Chairman, Representative Williams will serve as the Co-chair of the Lottery Oversight Committee in the Senate.  Senator Jeff Mullis (R-Chickamauga), who chairs the committee, stated that he was “very much looking forward to working with such an exceptional colleague.” 

Representative Williams will continue his membership on the Appropriations and the Industrial Relations Committees.
