State Representative Clay Cox Appointed to the House Banks & Banking Committee
Atlanta - Last week, House Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) announced the appointment of State Representative Clay Cox (R-Lilburn) to the House Banks & Banking Committee. The committee works with legislation regarding the financial institutions of the state.
"I am honored that the Speaker would consider me for service on the Banks & Banking Committee. I look forward to working with Chairman Mills on the important issues facing our state's financial institutions," said Rep. Cox.
Rep. Cox's appointment was due to changes in the composition of the House membership because of the acceptance of Rep. Phyllis Miller's resignation from the House to take a judicial appointment, the death of Rep. Henry Howard, and the subsequent elections of Representatives-elect Melvin Everson and Earnestine Howard to fill their seats.
Rep. Cox will also be serving on the House Industrial Relations, Public Safety, and the State Institutions & Property committees for the 2nd Regular Session of the 148th General Assembly.
For more information, please contact Rep. Cox's office at 404-656-0188.
