Speaker Richardson appoints State Representatives Earl Ehrhart, Jeff Brown, and Mickey Channell to the Joint Committee to study Prescription costs in State Funded Health Care Plans

Atlanta–Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) appointed State Representatives Earl Ehrhart (R-Powder Springs), Jeff Brown (R-LaGrange), and Mickey Channell (D-Greensboro) to the Joint Committee to study Prescription costs in State Funded Health Care Plans.

The committee shall undertake a study of the conditions, needs, issues, challenges, and opportunities relating to coverage of prescription drugs under any state funded health care plans, including, but not limited to, plans and health care services offered, established, and provided by the state.

The committee was created by the passage of Senate Bill 140, authored by Sen. Tommie Williams. The study committee will end its meeting on December 31, 2005.

Rep. Ehrhart will serve as the committee’s Co-Chair.
