Atlanta–Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) appointed State Representatives John Yates (R-Griffin) and Ben Bridges (R-Cleveland) to the Henry McNeal Turner Tribute Commission

The committee shall undertake a study of the conditions, needs, issues, challenges, and opportunities relating to the authorization for the placement of a statue on the grounds of the state capitol.

he committee was created by the passage of Senate Resolution 88, authored by Sen. Vincent Fort.
