Speaker Richardson appoints State Representatives Ron Stephens, Matt Dollar, John Heard, Joe Wilkinson, and Richard Smith to the House Film and Video Game Technology Study Committee

Atlanta–Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) appointed State Representatives Ron Stephens (R-Savannah), Matt Dollar (R-Marietta), John Heard (R-Lawrenceville), Joe Wilkinson (R-Sandy Springs), and Richard Smith (R-Columbus) to the House Film and Video Game Technology Study Committee.

The committee shall undertake a study of the conditions, needs, issues, challenges, and opportunities relating to concerted efforts to integrate video gaming into this statés entertainment industry by bringing together music, film, and digital production would be highly beneficial to the statés economic development.

. The committee was created by the passage of House Resolution 642, authored by Rep. Ron Stephens, who will also be serving as Chair of the study committee. The study committee will end its meeting on December 31, 2005.
