The mission of the House Budget Office is to provide objective and timely financial information and analysis to the 180 members of the Georgia House of Representative and their staff. 

Our budget analysts, in conjunction with financial and budget personnel throughout state departments, provide non-partisan assistance and reports to members of the House upon request.  The office serves as a repository for historical, current, and projected appropriations, expenditures, and revenues.  The office is responsible for analyzing the executive budget, drafting House versions of the budget, and producing the final appropriations bills in odd-numbered fiscal years. 

Our goal is to maximize state government’s effectiveness for serving its citizenry by providing exceptional financial services and tax dollar management.
