SPEAKER APPOINTS REPRESENTATIVE RON STEPHENS
TO THE JOINT WATER DESALINATION STUDY COMMITTEE
ATLANTA—Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) has tapped State Representative Ron Stephens to serve on the Joint Water Desalination Study Committee.
“Representative Stephens is uniquely qualified to serve on this committee and I am proud to have him in this role,” Richardson said.
The Joint Comprehensive Water Desalination Study Committee shall undertake a study of the conditions, needs, issues and problems associated with desalination of water and related issues, and recommend any action or legislation the committee deems necessary or appropriate. The committee shall make a report of its findings with suggestions for proposed legislation, if any, on or before December 1, 2006.
