SPEAKER APPOINTS REPRESENTATIVE BARRY LOUDERMILK
ATLANTA—Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) has tapped State Representative Barry Loudermilk to serve on the House Study Committee on Biological Privacy. “I am pleased that Representative Loudermilk has accepted this responsibility,” Richardson said. “I am confident that he will do a great job for our state.” The committee will be making recommendations to the 2007 General Assembly as to how best to protect Georgians’ indelible biological information. HR 1558, creating the study committee, recognizes that emerging technology is rapidly advancing the capacity of governments and private organizations to physically monitor and biologically profile law abiding citizens. The committee was created by the passage of House Resolution 1558, authored by Rep. Ed Setzler. The committee will end its meeting on December 31, 2006. ### |
