HD 8 (D-Blairsville)

Beginning his first full term as a member of the Georgia State House of Representatives, Charles Jenkins is currently serving House District 8, covering parts of Union, Town, White and Rabun Counties. He is an active member of several House Committees, including: Economic Development & Tourism, Game, Fish & Parks and Retirement.

Born in Towns County, Georgia, Representative Jenkins attended both Berry College and Georgia State University. He is now an Aerospace Retiree. He also served in the United States Air Force and several civic organizations. He was an active member of the Honors Commanders Association and the National Management Association (NMA), the latter of which presented him with the Silver Knight Award.

He and his wife Bonnie are the proud parents of one son and have three grandchildren. The couple are devout Baptists. Outside of his legislative duties, Representative Jenkins enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing and traveling.
