RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of Mrs. Linda Church; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
throughout her life, Mrs. Linda Church of Kennesaw, Georgia, touched countless
lives with her compassion, generosity, and loving spirit; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Church was married for 17 years to Kennesaw Mayor Leonard Church and was
stepmother to Pamela Vandergriff and Angela Church; and
WHEREAS,
she had a career with US Air as a cabin crew member and worked as a Re/Max
realtor for five years before founding Team Church Realty with her husband;
and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Church had a special place in her heart for animals and was a devoted
volunteer at the North Cobb Animal Rescue Shelter and Our Pals Place pet
adoption center; and
WHEREAS,
she was highly involved in her community and was an active member and past
president of the Kennesaw Optimists Club; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Church will always be fondly remembered for her tremendous kindness and
stellar character by all who had the privilege to know this exceptional lady;
and
WHEREAS,
Georgia lost a most estimable citizen on February 11, 2006, with the passing of
Mrs. Linda Church.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join
together to express their deepest regret at the passing of Mrs. Linda Church and
extend their most sincere condolences to her family and friends.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mayor Leonard Church.
