RESOLUTION
Commending
Ms. Marilyn Wilson for outstanding contributions to education in Georgia; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Marilyn Wilson of Davis Elementary School is a highly praised educator in
the Muscogee County School System, where she tirelessly directs her time and
talent toward guiding students to a brighter future; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Ms. Wilson exemplifies the selfless dedication that is
characteristic of our finest teachers; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Wilson's commitment to excellence in education has earned the respect of
students, parents, and colleagues, and for her laudable work she has been
honored as the Davis Elementary School Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare of
Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor
the extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this exceptional
teacher.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Ms. Marilyn Wilson for her outstanding work, congratulate her on being selected
as the Davis Elementary School Teacher of the Year, and express their gratitude
for her invaluable contributions to education in Georgia.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Marilyn Wilson.
