RESOLUTION
Commending
the cast and crew of the Bremen High School one-act competition play, "Mark
Twain in the Garden of Eden," for being named Georgia Class A State Champions;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Bremen High School one-act competition play, "Mark Twain in the Garden of
Eden," was honored as the winner of the Georgia Class A State Championship on
November 12, 2005, at Salem High School in Conyers, Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
the following talented students represented Bremen High School as the cast and
crew of this victorious play: Matthew Liner, Steven King, Justin Livingston,
Key-Key Almon, Grant Mobley, Amy Stamps, Laura Jones, Brandon Sanders, Eli
Miles, Amitty Tucker, Haley Newman, Lauren Files, Nora Peck, Amanda Merritt,
Chelsie Agan, Erine Dennis, Lindley Morton, Laura Murphy, Lance Leopard, Bhumika
Patel, Mark Marlow, Jennisea Whitaker, Christin Townsend, Erica Smith, Ashley
Burns, Elizabeth Reid, Marshall Reid, Satin Hill, Seth Hansard, Heather Tolbert,
Blake Smith, Jessica Teague, and Andrew Kelley; and
WHEREAS,
"Mark Twain in the Garden of Eden" was directed by Monica Turner, who was
assisted by Kiley Thompson, Rodney Brown, and Natalie Sacandy, as well as by
Costume Designer Patsy McCarley, Music Composer John Wilborn, and parental
volunteers Carol Files, Tina Dennis, Tammy Liner, and Mitch and Tammy Mobley;
and
WHEREAS,
not only was the entire cast and crew honored, but Key-Key Almon was named
region Best Actress, and Matthew Liner was named both region Best Actor and
Georgia State Best Actor; and
WHEREAS,
these gifted individuals' efforts have resulted in a very fine contribution to
Georgia's cultural landscape as well as an impressive accolade for Bremen High
School.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join
together in commending the cast and crew of the Bremen High School one-act
competition play, "Mark Twain in the Garden of Eden" and congratulate them all
on their outstanding artistic achievement.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to all of the above named
individuals.
