RESOLUTION
Commending
Mr. David Ashburn for his work to ensure the health and safety of the citizens
of Walker County; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. David Ashburn has worked extensively throughout Walker County government,
giving of his time and talents as its Road Superintendent, Emergency Management
Director, 911 Director, Police Chief, Director of Emergency Services, and a
member of the Water Authority Board; and
WHEREAS,
his expert leadership as Walker County Coordinator has ensured the efficient
day-to-day operations of the county and was instrumental in the development of
the Walker County 911/Central Dispatch Program and the Walker County Fire and
Rescue Department, which he helped to receive a 4 ISO rating; and
WHEREAS,
his dedication has made a difference in the quality of life enjoyed by the
citizens of Walker County and has given them a sense of security knowing that,
in the event of an emergency, there will be a well-trained and compassionate 911
operator, firefighter, paramedic, or law enforcement officer there to render
them assistance; and
WHEREAS,
it is only fitting and proper that Mr. Ashburn's outstanding public service be
appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
commending Mr. David Ashburn for the abundant and extensive contributions he has
made as Walker County Coordinator and extend to him sincere best wishes for his
continued success.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. David Ashburn.
