RESOLUTION
Commending
James Redd; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
James Redd is an outstanding individual who has excelled as an athlete, an
academic, a coach, and in the community; and
WHEREAS,
this superb scholar was valedictorian at South Girard High School and an honors
graduate of Alabama State; and
WHEREAS,
he was an amazing basketball coach at Central High School where his teams
compiled an astonishing record of 312 wins and only 97 losses over his 15 year
career; and;
WHEREAS,
this stellar man epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership, and
character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance and
to achieve success as an individual and citizen; and
WHEREAS,
he has been inducted into the Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame and it is
abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative skills and outstanding deeds
of this accomplished athlete be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
James Redd for his unprecedented athletic performance; congratulate him upon
being inducted into the Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame; and extend to
him their sincerest best wishes for success in the future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to James Redd.
