RESOLUTION
Commending
Bobby Howard; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Bobby Howard is an outstanding individual who has excelled as an athlete, a
coach, and in the community; and
WHEREAS,
this Columbus legend has molded Columbus High School into a perennial baseball
power having garnered eight state championships; and
WHEREAS,
he is an alumnus of Jordan High School and Columbus College and has coached at
Chattahoochee Valley Community College; and
WHEREAS,
this stellar man epitomizes the courage, determination, leadership, and
character necessary to attain excellence in athletic prowess and performance and
to achieve success as an individual and citizen; and
WHEREAS,
he has been inducted into the Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame and it is
abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative skills and outstanding deeds
of this accomplished athlete be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Bobby Howard for his unprecedented athletic performance; congratulate him upon
being inducted into the Chattahoochee Valley Sports Hall of Fame; and extend to
him their sincerest best wishes for success in the future.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Bobby Howard.
