RESOLUTION
Honoring
and congratulating Captain Benjamin S. Freeborn; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
our nation´s security continues to rely on patriotic men and women who put
their personal lives on hold in order to place themselves in harm´s way to
protect the freedoms that all United States citizens cherish; and
WHEREAS,
Benjamin S. Freeborn has diligently and conscientiously undergone intensive and
rigorous training in order to serve with pride and courage as a United States
Air Force F-16 "Fighting Falcons" pilot; and
WHEREAS,
through his hard work, determination, and devotion to duty, he achieved the rank
of Captain and has most recently received the honor of becoming a flight lead
for missions; and
WHEREAS,
only those with great strength, discipline, and a firm resolve achieve positions
of such status, and Captain Benjamin S. Freeborn has brought great credit to
himself, his family, and this state through his outstanding performance and
dedication; and
WHEREAS,
his selfless and heroic actions stand as a shining tribute to the strength of
human spirit and willpower, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the
outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished American be
recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join to
honor Captain Benjamin S. Freeborn's extraordinary record of service,
congratulate him on becoming a flight lead, and extend to him the appreciation
of a grateful state and nation.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Captain Benjamin S.
Freeborn.
