RESOLUTION
Commending
the legendary members of the Racoon Club; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
every Thursday at the historic establishment of Bennie's Red Barn, the
distinguished members of the Racoon Club have met to enjoy good food, comradery,
and a lively discussion of the day's important issues; and
WHEREAS,
under the excellent guidance of their Grand High Exalted Mystic Ruler, Mr.
Ferman Ricks, the club proudly lives by its motto to "stand firmly behind the
issue"; and
WHEREAS,
these highly successful and much admired judges, lawyers, and businessmen have
for many years been doing anonymous good deeds for those who have suffered
hardship within their diverse communities; and
WHEREAS,
these selfless acts were done with no expectation for reward or acknowledgment
yet merit the highest commendation of this community and state; and
WHEREAS,
as the illustrious members of the magnificent Racoon Club carry on this
meritorious tradition, they encourage others, by their fine example, to be good
neighbors and invest their time and energy in the well-being of their
community.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join in
heartily commending the wonderful and noble Racoon Club and extend to each
member of this august group sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Racoon Club.
