RESOLUTION
Commending
the Claxton Rotary Club; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Claxton Rotary Club has a long and consistent record of service to the
community and the state and has been recognized as one of the most dynamic and
committed civic organizations in Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
this outstanding organization has had a tremendous impact on its community
through its spirit of service and desire to improve the quality of life in the
Claxton area; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable organization has established a glowing reputation of renown
throughout Georgia for its dedication and high ideals; and
WHEREAS,
in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Rotary International, the club has
formally adopted a patient room at Evans Memorial Hospital; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
amazing organization be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
the Claxton Rotary Club for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the
citizens of Georgia and extend their best wishes for the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Demere NeSmith, president
of the Claxton Rotary Club.
