RESOLUTION
Commending
and congratulating Mr. Joseph E. Pogue, LUTCF; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Joseph E. Pogue, LUTCF, began his insurance career in 1988 after retiring
from AmeriFirst Bank in Miami, Florida, where he served as vice president and
district manager for 22 years; and
WHEREAS,
as sole proprietor and agent of the Monroe-Pogue Insurance Agency, he has earned
the respect and admiration of his colleagues in the business community;
and
WHEREAS,
he has provided excellent leadership and service to the Thomasville Association
of Insurance and Financial Advisors as LUTC chairman, community service
chairman, secretary/treasurer, vice president, and president and in his current
role as LUTC moderator; and
WHEREAS,
this business and community leader is vice chairman of the Thomas County Zoning
Board, a board member of the Salvation Army in Thomasville, a member of the
Thomasville Downtown Development Authority, and the chairman of the Deacon Board
and a trustee at the Rebecca Baptist Church of Thomasville; and
WHEREAS,
he has served the National Association of Insurance and Financial
Advisors-Georgia as an area vice president for four years and has been chosen as
its president for 2005 to 2006.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mr. Joseph E. Pogue, LUTCF, for his outstanding contributions to the Thomasville
community and the insurance and financial advisors industry in Georgia,
congratulate him on becoming president of NAIFA-Georgia, and extend their
sincere best wishes for his continued success.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Joseph E. Pogue,
LUTCF.
