RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Beverly Padgett; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Beverly Padgett has been selected as the state's recipient of the 2004 Rick
Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction for Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Padgett, a director and lead instructor of the certified customer service
specialist program at Coosa Valley Technical College, has exemplified excellence
in instructional knowledge and practices; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of such, Ms. Padgett was selected from an elite group of
instructors who have each demonstrated exceptional and innovative teaching
practices and leadership skills at their respective technical colleges;
and
WHEREAS,
through dedication and professionalism, Ms. Padgett has brought honor to
herself, her family, her college, and the Georgia Department of Technical and
Adult Education, which she represents as Georgia's outstanding postsecondary
technical instructor for 2004.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Beverly Padgett for her achievements and her efforts to promote technical
education in Georgia and convey their congratulations.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Beverly Padgett.
