RESOLUTION
Commending
the Spalding County Republican Party; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Spalding County Republican Party is one of our state's most dynamic and
involved political organizations whose hard-working members volunteer their time
and talent in pursuit of better government on the local, state, and national
levels; and
WHEREAS,
constantly striving to serve the interests of its community, the party has
achieved great success thanks to years of diligent work and is proud to have a
100 percent Republican legislative delegation and party members in many other
offices in the county; and
WHEREAS,
the party has always maintained the Republican philosophy of small government,
individual responsibility, and hard work and firmly agrees with the sentiments
of President Ronald Reagan that America is the last best hope of mankind and
that a strong nation is a nation that will work for freedom and democracy around
the world; and
WHEREAS,
the Spalding County Republican Party strongly supports President George Bush in
his efforts to bring freedom and stability to Iraq and Afghanistan;
and
WHEREAS,
the members of the Spalding County Republican Party are completely supportive of
the outstanding efforts of our military to protect our nation and are especially
supportive and proud of their neighbors, friends, and family members who are
currently serving America's armed forces with honor and distinction;
and
WHEREAS,
thanks to the hard work and determination of its dedicated members, the Spalding
County Republican Party serves as a worthy example for organizations everywhere
who strive to make a difference in the world.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join to
commend the Spalding County Republican Party for its service to its community
and state and thank its members for their many invaluable contributions to
Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Spalding County
Republican Party.
