A
RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Mr. and Mrs. H. Glenn Clark on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
H. Glenn and Ann P. Clark have long been one of the most respected couples in
their community and among their family and many friends in both Georgia and
their native state of North Carolina; and
WHEREAS,
this loving couple first met as young children, became high school sweethearts
at Reidsville High School, and were joined in holy matrimony on May 5, 1956, in
Reidsville, North Carolina; and
WHEREAS,
for five decades, these two lovebirds have supported one another through all of
life's trials and tribulations and have been by each other's side as they
celebrated life's many joys and triumphs; and
WHEREAS,
their devotion, values, patience, and understanding have provided the foundation
and framework for their progeny to grow and flourish over a span of three
generations that include their three beloved children, Ken, Bill, and Jim; their
loving daughters-in-law, Evy, Robin, and Jacqueline; eight grandchildren, Glenn,
Kristi, Jessica, Joshua, Olivia, Bianca, Chaz, and Alex; and one
great-grandchild, Mallory; and
WHEREAS,
the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Clark stands as a proud and shining example of
enduring love and affection, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the
selfless deeds and loving devotion of these remarkable parents, grandparents,
and great-grandparents be appropriately recognized.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate Mr. and Mrs. H. Glenn Clark on the joyous occasion of their 50th
wedding anniversary and extend to them both their best wishes for continued
health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. H. Glenn Clark.
