RESOLUTION
Recognizing
the birth of Marx Reid Gaines IV; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the months of anticipation and excitement shared by expectant parents are always
a cherished memory; and
WHEREAS,
for Dee and Reid Gaines, those months ended on March 2, 2006, when they became
the proud parents of Marx Reid Gaines IV; and
WHEREAS,
this auspicious event occurred at 12:56 P.M. at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville
as young Master Gaines made his first appearance weighing a healthy six pounds
and eleven ounces and measuring 20 inches in length; and
WHEREAS,
Marx is the grandchild of the distinguished gentleman from the 11th District,
Honorable John Bulloch; and
WHEREAS,
Senator Bulloch and his spouse, Miriam Bulloch, and the parents of Marx's
father, Marx and Claire Gaines, are all reveling in their continued status as
"grandparents"; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that the birth of one of the newest of this
statés
citizens be recognized in an appropriate manner.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
the very happy occasion of the birth of Marx Reid Gaines IV and extend to him
their most sincere best wishes for a long and healthy life and great happiness
and success.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. Reid Gaines.
