RESOLUTION
Recognizing
Ms. Alexa Turpin as the newly crowned Miss Georgia Teen America 2006; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ms. Alexa Turpin is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Frank Turpin of Albany,
Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Turpin is a junior and an accomplished student at Deerfield Windsor School;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Turpin represented Albany this past January in the Miss Georgia Teen America
2006; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Turpin impressed the judges wearing a stunning evening gown while also
winning awards for swimsuit, photogenic, and talent; and
WHEREAS,
this July, Ms. Turpin will strive to become the next Miss Teen America by
competing with other young ladies from throughout the United States at the Miss
Teen America Pageant in Nashville, Tennessee.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
Ms. Alexa Turpin's great accomplishment in being crowned the Miss Georgia Teen
America 2006 and wish her the best of luck in the Miss Teen America Pageant this
July in Nashville, Tennessee.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ms. Alexa Turpin.
