BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an act establishing a new charter for the City of Rutledge, approved May
4, 1992 (Ga. L. 1992, p. 6951), so as to establish salaries of the mayor and
council members; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws;
and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
act establishing a new charter for the City of Rutledge, approved May 4, 1992
(Ga. L. 1992, p. 6951) is amended by striking Section 2.13 of said Act and
substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"Section
2.13. The salary of the Mayor of Rutledge shall be $12,000.00 per annum,
payable monthly in equal installments; the salary of each councilmember shall be
$1,000.00 per annum, payable monthly in equal installments. Such salaries of
the mayor and each councilmember may be further amended by ordinance of the
mayor and council pursuant to Code Section 36-35-4 of the
O.C.G.A."
SECTION
2.
This
Act shall become effective on the first day of the month following the month in
which it is approved by the Governor or in which it becomes law without such
approval.
SECTION
3.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
