A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT

To amend Article 1 of Chapter 14 of Title 19 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Children´s Trust Fund Commission, so as to change the expenses allowable to members of the commission; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.
Article 1 of Chapter 14 of Title 19 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Children´s Trust Fund Commission, is amended by striking Code Section 19-14-4, relating to compensation of members, and inserting in its place the following:
"19-14-4.
Members of the commission shall serve without compensation but shall receive the same expense allowance per day as that received by a member of the General Assembly be eligible for reimbursement for actual expenses incurred for each day such member of the commission is in attendance at a meeting of such commission, plus either reimbursement for actual transportation costs while traveling by public carrier or the same mileage allowance for use of a personal car in connection with such attendance as members of the General Assembly receive. Such expense and travel allowance shall be paid in lieu of any per diem, allowance, or other remuneration now received by any such member for such attendance. Reimbursable expenses shall include actual costs of lodging and actual costs of meals at the same rate allowable by the travel regulations of the Department of Human Resources. Expense allowances and other costs authorized in this Code section shall be paid from moneys in the trust fund."

SECTION 2.
This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2005.

SECTION 3.
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
