ACT
To
amend an Act providing a new charter for the City of Thomasville, approved March
30, 1990 (Ga. L. 1990, p. 5051), as amended, so as to change the method of
filling vacancies on the board of education of the independent school district
of the City of Thomasville; to provide for related matters; to repeal
conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act providing a new charter for the City of Thomasville, approved March 30, 1990
(Ga. L. 1990, p. 5051), as amended, is amended by striking Section 11.8 and
inserting in its place a new section to read as follows:
"SECTION
11.8.
Any
vacancy on the board of education shall be filled as provided in Code Section
20_2_54.1 of the O.C.G.A. or as hereafter provided by general
law."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
