RESOLUTION
Commending
Wesley Styles; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Wesley Styles is widely recognized throughout the state as the personification
of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected teacher has served with honor and distinction as a
professional educator at Rome High School where he teaches science;
and
WHEREAS,
he believes that his role as a teacher is to act as an instrument of inspiration
to his pupils and to create a positive learning environment while enhancing his
studentś
abilities to analyze and reason; and
WHEREAS,
he is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual
classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received by the
children of this state; and
WHEREAS,
he encourages students to believe in themselves, to pursue every opportunity for
personal growth, to make a commitment to excellence in every aspect of their
lives, and to develop a love of learning which will be beneficial to them
throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS,
his talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of his fellow
teachers, superiors, parents, and especially his students; and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of his outstanding dedication to academic excellence, he was
selected by his
schooĺs
STAR student as the Rome High School STAR Teacher.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Wesley Styles for his sacrifice,
foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of the young people of
this state and congratulate him upon his selection as the Rome High School STAR
Teacher.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Wesley
Styles.
