RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Jeff Hargett for outstanding contributions to public education in
the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mr. Hargett is a highly respected educator at Rome High School where he teaches
science; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Hargett's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of his
fellow teachers, superiors, parents, and especially his students;
and
WHEREAS,
the contributions and achievements of Mr. Hargett have been recognized by his
selection as Teacher of the Year for Rome High School; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Mr. Hargett exemplifies the selfless dedication which is
characteristic of our finest educators; and
WHEREAS,
Mr. Hargett stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts
of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received
by the children of this state, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that his
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body hereby
recognizes and commends Mr. Jeff Hargett; extends its congratulations upon his
selection as a 2006 Teacher of the Year; and expresses its gratitude for the
great credit this outstanding educator reflects upon his school and school
system and the State of Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mr. Jeff
Hargett.
