RESOLUTION
Commending
Coach Ronald Bradley; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Coach Ronald Bradley is widely recognized throughout Georgia as the
personification of excellence in high school basketball; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected coach is the architect of some of the most successful high
school basketball programs in the country and has compiled over his 45 year
career an unprecedented record of 1,301 wins and only 353 losses;
and
WHEREAS,
his role as a coach was to act as an instrument of inspiration and enthusiasm to
his players; to create a positive learning environment by encouraging
competitive instincts; and to instill the values and positive characteristics of
hard work, dedication, and integrity; and
WHEREAS,
he is the dean of high school basketball coaches in Georgia and has won more
games than any other high school coach in Georgia history; and
WHEREAS,
he has announced his retirement at the tender age of 70; and
WHEREAS,
he is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual
coaches make on the quality of athletic training received by the young people of
this state, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that his superlative
accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Coach Ronald Bradley for his four and
one-half decades of sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on
behalf of basketball in Georgia and for the positive influence he has had upon
the lives and futures of countless young people in this state; congratulate him
upon the grand occasion of his retirement; and extend to him their most sincere
best wishes for health and happiness in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Coach Ronald
Bradley.
