RESOLUTION
Commending
Elder Rufus Griffin; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Elder Rufus Griffin has long been recognized for the vital role that he has
played in providing leadership and spiritual guidance and in serving the
citizens of this state; and
WHEREAS,
he began his preaching ministry in 1962 and has been faithfully serving at the
Mount Olive Holiness Church in Garden City, Georgia, for over 40 years;
and
WHEREAS,
the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Elder Rufus Griffin has been a
source of strength, inspiration, and direction for persons in all walks of life
and from all economic strata; and
WHEREAS,
whether the task is preaching the gospel, visiting the sick, counseling the
troubled, or ministering through love and understanding, Elder Rufus Griffin
shows the energy, devotion, and commitment truly reflective of divine guidance;
and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize the outstanding accomplishments
of Elder Rufus Griffin.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Elder Rufus Griffin for his unparalleled record of community
service and his innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need and
extend their most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Elder Rufus
Griffin.
