RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Elizabeth Kay Rossman; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Elizabeth Kay Rossman of Girl Scout Troop 3542 of the Girl Scout Council of
Northwest Georgia has attained the highest honor conferred by the Girl Scouts of
America, the prestigious Gold Award, which she will receive at the Court of
Awards Ceremony on April 17, 2005; and
WHEREAS,
the Gold Award is the premier recognition accorded to a Senior Girl Scout, and
the achievement of this award denotes exceptional proficiency and personal
development in this very special program for young women; and
WHEREAS,
she has consistently demonstrated the superior ability, leadership, and
commitment to community service that is ideally expected of a Senior Girl Scout;
and
WHEREAS,
she has exhibited an understanding of the scouting principles of honesty,
reliability, and fairness and has consistently conducted herself in a manner
becoming a Girl Scout of the highest rank and been a model for others to follow;
and
WHEREAS,
she ably completed the demanding goals of this rigorous scouting program and a
meaningful community service project and the regional Girl Scout Council is
proud to recognize her exemplary performance.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize and commend Elizabeth Kay Rossman on her exceptional
achievement in earning the Girl Scout Gold Award and convey to her their
congratulations and best wishes in her future pursuits.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Elizabeth Kay
Rossman.
