RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of Mr. Glenn Abrams, Sr.; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Glenn Abrams, Sr., was born June 3, 1929, and attended school in the Thomas
County School System; and
WHEREAS,
he was a lifelong resident of Boston, Georgia, and an esteemed self-employed
farmer; and
WHEREAS,
he was a member of the Livestock Association, the Farm Bureau, and the Thomas
County chapter of the NAACP and served as a minority advisor to the Thomas
County Farm Service Agency; and
WHEREAS,
as a man of faith and service to God and his community, he served as chairman of
the Deacon Board at New Jerusalem Church of God in Unity, Boston, Georgia, and
had served as a member of the Thomas County School Board since September of
1997; and
WHEREAS,
he was a wonderful father and a devoted husband whose voice was respected
throughout the community; and
WHEREAS,
family and friends will remember him as a man of old fashioned values whose
faith, honesty, and integrity inspired those around him, and he will be greatly
missed by all in the Thomas County community.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join to express the deepest regret at the passing of Mr. Glenn Abrams,
Sr., and extend their most sincere condolences to his family and the Thomas
County community.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mr. Glenn Abrams, Sr.
