RESOLUTION
Remembering
and honoring the life of Mrs. Carrie B. Keith; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
born on September 21, 1913, Mrs. Carrie B. Keith was a native of Jackson,
Georgia, where she resided throughout her life; and
WHEREAS,
an active and faithful member of Fairfield A.M.E. Church, Mrs. Keith truly
enjoyed and loved her church and eagerly served in many auxiliaries and was the
pianist, soloist, and choir director; and
WHEREAS,
this graceful and compassionate lady generously gave of her time to work within
her community, visiting those who were sick or shut in, and was a wonderful
neighbor to all those who make their home on Covington Highway; and
WHEREAS,
her delightful conversation will be greatly missed at Ms. Myrtle's where she
enjoyed getting her hair done and sharing in weekly chats with the other ladies;
and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Keith was a devoted mother to her beloved children, Beatrice Dunston,
Clifford Laster, Marion Calhoun, William Keith, Frederick Keith, Sandra McCrary,
and Audrey Keith, to whom imparted the wisdom and values that had served her
well, and she enjoyed watching her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as
they grew and blossomed into outstanding individuals; and
WHEREAS,
with the passing of Mrs. Carrie B. Keith, the State of Georgia has lost a most
esteemed citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join to express their deepest regret at the passing of Mrs. Carrie B.
Keith and extend their most sincere condolences to her family.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of
Mrs. Carrie B. Keith.
