RESOLUTION
Commending
John A. Shealy, Jr., on becoming an Eagle Scout; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
through many years of dedication and service to others, John A. Shealy, Jr., has
worked his way from a Tenderfoot Scout to earn the rank of Eagle Scout;
and
WHEREAS,
since 1911, the Eagle Scout Award has been the symbol of the highest and most
prestigious achievement among the Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS,
the attainment of Eagle Scout rank indicates that a Scout has developed
leadership ability, self-confidence, mature judgment, and mental and physical
capabilities that will be of immense benefit throughout life; and
WHEREAS,
John A. Shealy, Jr., has amply demonstrated to his Scout leaders and peers that
he possesses these qualities along with sterling character; and
WHEREAS,
in achieving Eagle Scout status, John A. Shealy, Jr., has brought honor not only
to himself but also to his family and Boy Scout Troop 503; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia takes great pride in the achievement of this outstanding
young man.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body recognize and commend John A. Shealy, Jr., for his diligence and
dedication in pursuing the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America
and congratulate him on attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle
Scout.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Eagle Scout
John A. Shealy, Jr.
