RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Emily Wall for outstanding contributions to public education in
the State of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Wall is a highly respected educator at Odom Elementary School in the
Colquitt County School System; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Wall's talent as a teacher is most evident in the fond regard of her fellow
teachers, superiors, parents, and especially her students; and
WHEREAS,
the contributions and achievements of Mrs. Wall have been recognized by her
selection as one of only ten finalists for 2006 Georgia Teacher of the Year from
a pool of over 130 applicants; and
WHEREAS,
nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young
people, and Mrs. Wall exemplifies the selfless dedication which is
characteristic of our finest educators; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Wall stands as a shining example of the important impact that the efforts
of individual classroom teachers are making on the quality of education received
by the children of this state, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that her
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body hereby
recognizes and commends Mrs. Emily Wall; extends its congratulations upon her
selection as a finalist for 2006 Georgia Teacher of the Year; and expresses its
gratitude for the great credit this outstanding educator reflects upon her
school and school system and the State of Georgia.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Emily
Wall.
