RESOLUTION
Commending
Ada J. Lee; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Ada J. Lee has long been recognized by the citizens of Houston County for the
vital role that she has played in leadership in the county and her deep personal
commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as
evidenced dramatically by her years of work for equal rights for all citizens,
her civic activities in the City of Warner Robins, her service on the Houston
County Housing Authority, and her dedicated and faithful commitment to the Sandy
Run C.M.E. and Warner Robins C.M.E. churches for 70 years; and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
citizens of her community have earned her the respect and admiration of her
colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
this distinguished senior gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her
high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow man, and she possesses the
vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character
which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life;
and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and, by the examples she has
made of her life, she makes this world a better place in which to live;
and
WHEREAS,
on March 26, 2005, she will enjoy the distinction of celebrating her
eighty-first birthday, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that the
outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be
appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Ada J. Lee for her four and one-half decades of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service; congratulate her upon the occasion of her birthday; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Ada J. Lee for her four and one-half decades of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service; congratulate her upon the occasion of her birthday; and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Ada J. Lee.
