RESOLUTION
Commending
Dr. Chuck Garner; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Dr. Chuck Garner is widely recognized throughout the state as the
personification of excellence in education; and
WHEREAS,
this highly respected professional educator has served with honor and
distinction as a teacher for many years and currently teaches at Rockdale County
High School; and
WHEREAS,
he believes that his continuing role as a teacher is to act as an instrument of
inspiration and enthusiasm to his pupils and to create a positive learning
environment through the encouragement of competitive instincts in students;
and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of his outstanding achievements, he has been named 2005-2006
Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS,
he is a shining example of the important impact that the efforts of individual
education professionals are making on the quality of education received by the
children of this state and it is abundantly fitting and proper that his
superlative accomplishments be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body heartily and gratefully commend Dr. Chuck Garner for his many years of
sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education
in Georgia and for the positive influence he has had upon the lives and futures
of countless young people in this state and extend to him their most sincere
best wishes for health and happiness in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. Chuck
Garner.
