RESOLUTION
Congratulating
Ruth Anderson Northcutt on the occasion of her 100th birthday; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Ruth Anderson Northcutt was born the descendant of the Anderson and
Sessions families, early pioneers of Cobb County; and
WHEREAS,
she is a woman of great compassion and faith who has been an active member of
the First United Methodist Church of Marietta since September 19, 1912, and has
also served her community through numerous civic and volunteer organizations;
and
WHEREAS,
she shared many loving years of happiness with her late husband, Mr. Guy
Northcutt; and
WHEREAS,
this devoted mother has imparted to generations of descendants, including her
two beloved children, Carol Worley and Guy Northcutt, Jr., her precious
grandchildren, and beautiful great-grandchildren, her century-long accumulation
of knowledge and wisdom and has taught them the values that have served her
well; and
WHEREAS,
by the example she has made of her life, she makes this world a better place in
which to live, and it is only fitting and proper that she be appropriately
recognized on this very special and memorable day.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that this body
expresses its congratulations and best wishes to one of our state's most
honorable citizens, Mrs. Ruth Anderson Northcutt, on the happy event of her
100th birthday and thanks her for all her many contributions to the wonderful
State of Georgia.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Ruth
Anderson Northcutt.
