RESOLUTION
Commending
Christopher John Hudgins on becoming an Eagle Scout; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Christopher John Hudgins, of Boy Scout Troop 555 in Gwinnett County, has earned
the rank of Eagle Scout after passing his Eagle Board of Review on December 10,
2005; and
WHEREAS,
to reach Eagle rank, a Scout must earn 21 merit badges, 12 of which are
mandatory requirements for the Eagle Scout program; and
WHEREAS,
for his Eagle Scout service project, Christopher John Hudgins tirelessly worked
to build and erect three crosses in front of St. James Lutheran Church and a
storage shed for the church's use, coordinating fellow scouts and additional
volunteers for over 400 service hours; and
WHEREAS,
only one scout out of 97 ever reaches this lofty level of achievement, and
Christopher John Hudgins has ably demonstrated his aptitude and competency in
mastering the many special skills taught through the Boy Scout program;
and
WHEREAS,
Christopher John Hudgins has truly exhibited a commitment to the scouting
principles of honesty and fairness and has consistently conducted himself in a
manner becoming of an Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS,
in a world which all too often seems to dwell on the negative aspects of the
actions of young people, it is especially fitting and proper for this body to
recognize the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary young
man.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Christopher John Hudgins for his diligence and dedication in
pursuing the highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and congratulate
him on attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Christopher
John Hudgins.
