A
RESOLUTION
Commending
Eric Andrew Gaupp on becoming an Eagle Scout; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Eric Andrew Gaupp, of Boy Scout Troop 306 in Thomasville, Georgia, has earned
the rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS,
since 1911, the Eagle has been the symbol of the highest achievement among the
Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS,
a candidate for this most exceptional award in scouting must complete a rigorous
program of training and demonstrate his proficiency in selected scouting
techniques and attainment of the highest ideals of scouting; and
WHEREAS,
only one scout out of 97 ever reaches this lofty level of achievement, and Eric
has ably demonstrated his aptitude and competency in mastering the many special
skills taught through the Boy Scout program; and
WHEREAS,
for his Eagle Scout service project, Eric organized and conducted the clearing
and rehabilitating of the nature trail behind the Balfour School for Young
Children and facilitated the donation and installation of signs for five nature
stops on the trail, with the themes birds, animals, leaves, nuts, and berries,
and "Keep Nature Natural"; and
WHEREAS,
it is especially fitting and proper for this body to recognize the outstanding
accomplishments of this extraordinary young man.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Eric Andrew Gaupp for his diligence and dedication in and
congratulate him on attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Eric Andrew
Gaupp.
