RESOLUTION
Commending
the Hawkinsville High School Red Devils football team and inviting the team to
the House of Representatives; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Hawkinsville High School Red Devils football team recently completed an
outstanding 2004 season; and
WHEREAS,
on December 3, 2004, the Red Devils tied Clinch County to become state
Class A football co-champions; and
WHEREAS,
during the past season, the Red Devils won their third consecutive region
championship; and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the superior
athletic ability, the commitment and hard work, and the unity and focus of each
member of the team; their outstanding offensive and defensive talents; and the
unmatched leadership of their beloved head coach, the courageous Lee Campbell,
and his staff; and
WHEREAS,
the Hawkinsville Red Devils have proven to their opponents, fans, and state that
they are, once again, the winningest football team in Georgia.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Hawkinsville High School Red Devils football team for its
unparalleled successes on the football field and extend their sincerest best
wishes for continued success in the future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the coaches and members of the Hawkinsville High School
Red Devils football team are invited to appear before the House of
Representatives at a date and time to be specified by the Speaker of the
House.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the team and to Coach Lee Campbell.
