A RESOLUTION

Recognizing Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Day; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, real estate appraisers play an integral role in Georgia's economy, helping both buyers and sellers to make sound decisions on land transactions by providing reliable and unbiased assessments of value; and

WHEREAS, estimates of value and opinion of values are integral to financial stability in every market economy; and

WHEREAS, the Georgia Appraisers Coalition (GAC) seeks to serve the needs of all of the state's appraisers and consists of several appraisal organizations, including the Appraisal Institute, the American Society of Appraisers, the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, the International Association of Assessing Officers, the International Right of Way Association, the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers, the National Association of Master Appraisals, and the National Society of Real Estate Appraisers; and

WHEREAS, considering the great economic importance of their honorable profession, it is only fitting and proper that this body pay tribute to Georgia's real estate appraisers and recognize the vital services they provide to our citizens.
