A
RESOLUTION
Commending
the Bremen High School Competitive Cheerleading Squad for winning the 2005-2006
State Championship and inviting the team to appear before the House of
Representatives; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Bremen High School Competitive Cheerleading Squad has been awarded the
2005-2006 State Championship after competing against 15 of the most exceptional
competitive cheerleading teams in Georgia at the state championship games in
Columbus, Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
the young ladies of this team won their victory after months of hard work and
hundreds of grueling hours of perfecting their athletic skills, including two-
to three-hour drilling sessions six days a week; and
WHEREAS,
in winning this championship, the squad was judged on a variety of skills,
including tumbling, jumping, motion technique, stunt formations, transitions,
dance routine, eye contact, and crowd participation; and
WHEREAS,
prior to winning the State Championship, the team had won the Region 6-A
Championship on December 3 by applying talent, hard work, and determination;
and
WHEREAS,
the Bremen High School Competitive Cheerleading Squad's triumph at the 2005-2006
state championship has brought a great honor to its school and
community.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in commending the Bremen High School Competitive Cheerleading
Squad for being awarded the 2005-2006 State Championship.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the team is invited to appear before the House of
Representatives for the purpose of being recognized by the House and receiving
an appropriate copy of this resolution at a date and time to be fixed by the
Speaker of the House.
