RESOLUTION
Commending
Georgiás
sustainable and environmentally friendly businesses; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
sustainable small businesses contribute more than 150 jobs and $30 million to
Georgiás
economy; and
WHEREAS,
many of
Georgiás
corporations are committed to incorporating sustainable principles and
environmental management systems into their businesses; and
WHEREAS,
sustainable and environmentally friendly companies generate profits while
creating jobs and revenue for the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
some of the companies leading the way for a more sustainable Georgia

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend
Georgiás
sustainable businesses for their outstanding corporate citizenship and for
creating innovative solutions and business models that convert waste into
valuable resources, improve air and water quality, and restore the environment
for Georgians.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to the above
named businesses.
