RESOLUTION
Commending
the Darton College golf team; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the Darton College golf team has established and maintained a proud tradition of
excellence in
meńs
golf with equal emphases on character and academics; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative team has completed another ultrasuccessful season of golf
competition and, as a fitting finale to their remarkable 2005 campaign, the team
captured their first NJCAA Division II Golf Championship in a resounding manner
by setting a new national tournament record; and
WHEREAS,
the phenomenal performance of the team as it earned its golf title is a clear
indication of the outstanding athletic ability, the dedication and hard work,
and the unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team; their superbly
skillful talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach Dale Dover;
and
WHEREAS,
the amazing achievements of these stellar individuals is further reflected by
Brent Witcher, Brandon Anthony, Michael Gordy, and Jason Flowers being selected
as NJCAA First Team All-American; Ryan Wilson being selected as NJCAA Second
Team All-American; Ryan Parker being selected as NJCAA Third Team All-American;
and Head Coach Dale Dover being selected as NJCAA National Coach of the
year.
WHEREAS,
this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned its
well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality
of its play, and the stiff competition which it presented its
opponents.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the Darton College golf team for its unparalleled achievements
and extend their sincerest best wishes for continued success in the
future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Head Coach
Dale Dover.
