A RESOLUTION

Commending Linda W. Beazley; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Linda W. Beazley has long been recognized for the vital role that she has played in providing leadership and in serving the citizens of this state; and

WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced dramatically by her years of outstanding service as clerk of the probate court of Richmond County, executive director of the Richmond County Board of Elections, county administrator for Richmond County, and director of the Elections Division of the Office of the Secretary of State; and

WHEREAS, she served as president of the Voter Registrars Association of Georgia and the Georgia Election Officials Association, served on the advisory board of the Federal Election Commission, testified before Congress on election related issues, and has received numerous honors and recognitions; and

WHEREAS, her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivities have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Linda W. Beazley for her many years of efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated service to this state and extend to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Linda W. Beazley.
