BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
AN ACT
To
amend an Act creating a new charter for the City of Kennesaw, approved April 10,
1971 (Ga. L. 1971, p. 3620), as amended, particularly by an Act approved June
30, 2003 (Ga. L. 2003, p. 4373), so as to change the provisions relating to the
corporate limits of said city; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
purposes.
BE
IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
An
Act creating a new charter for the City of Kennesaw, approved April 10, 1971
(Ga. L. 1971, p. 3620), as amended, particularly by an Act approved June 30,
2003 (Ga. L. 2003, p. 4373), is amended by adding at the end of Section 1.02 the
following:
"The
corporate limits of the City of Kennesaw shall also include the following
described parcels of land:
Gilbert
Property Description:
All
that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lot 178 of the 20th
District, 2nd Section of Cobb County, Georgia, being 13.1 acres as shown on plat
prepared for Kenco Developments, Inc., by J.B. Carcy, C.E., dated May 25, 1968,
recorded in Plat Book 49, Page 157, Cobb County, Georgia Records, and being more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING
at an iron pin located on the southeasterly side of Pine Mountain Road 1312.7
feet southwesterly, as measured along the southeasterly side of Pine Mountain
Road, from the intersection of the southeasterly side of Pine Mountain Road with
the center line of a creek shown on said plat; and running thence South 61
Degrees 37 Minutes East for a distance of 825.1 feet to an iron pin and corner;
thence running South 17 Degrees 59 Minutes West for a distance of 353.5 feet to
an iron pin and a corner; thence running South 50 degrees 35 Minutes West for a
distance of 389.1 feet to an iron pin and corner; thence running North 83
Degrees 33 Minutes West for a distance of 328.1 feet to an iron pin and a
corner; thence running North 13 Degrees 40 Minutes West for a distance of 573.5
feet to an iron pin and corner; thence running North 51 Degrees 7 Minutes West
for a distance of 101.5 feet to an iron pin and corner located on the
southeasterly side of Pine Mountain Road; thence running North 36 Degrees 3
Minutes East, along the Southeasterly side of Pine Mountain Road, for a distance
of 384 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING."
SECTION
2.
All
laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
